Peter Bickford is an independent counselor and arbitrator focusing particularly in the areas of
insurance and reinsurance operational, regulatory and solvency issues. In addition to being a practicing attorney for over 30 years, he has been an officer of both a life insurance company and a property/casualty insurance and reinsurance facility with line responsibility for its contract and claims operations. He is an ARIAS-U.S. certified arbitrator and umpire.
In February 2010, a Working Group of industry and regulatory representatives was established to consider reviving a New York based syndicated insurance risk exchange, intended to be a Lloyd's type insurance market in the US. Because of the interest in the exchange project, a section devoted to the project, including historical documents and materials on the original New York Insurance Risk Exchange, has been added to this site. |
